Hopefully they'll be back!

This may be a little different than the usual scenario because it's based in history (three people were the last remaining residents of one of the NC barrier islands in 1970) and it's an entire way of life they'd be losing if they left. There were times, though, when I really wished that Maggie was able to break free of it to create a new life for herself.Sarah Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13340312953393474963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19307003.post-67134979239956945342011-05-13T16:09:19.420-05:002011-05-13T16:09:19.420-05:00This looks like SUCH a good book, although normall...This looks like SUCH a good book, although normally I get really annoyed stories where the past still has a choke-hold on the present and the characters desperately need to see a therapist or something so they can MOVE ON ALREADY. Which is best known for that quote!

The cover of this book is gorgeous - the colors, the layout, the font (I'm a sucker for great historical fonts).

I'm jealous of your upcoming bookstore visit, BP. No authors ever travel out this way; it'd help if there were bookstores around here...Sarah Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13340312953393474963noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19307003.post-22395917384783643702011-05-12T10:36:26.524-05:002011-05-12T10:36:26.524-05:00I love that quote about the past being another cou...I love that quote about the past being another country, but I've never known who said it originally?Shelleyhttp://dustbowlpoetry.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19307003.post-6650498839151854062011-05-11T16:21:56.907-05:002011-05-11T16:21:56.907-05:00This sounds absolutely amazing.
